Hi First Grade Family!! It has been so long since you have written on the class blog and we have missed seeing your wonderful writing! We would love to hear what has been going on in First Grade, especially your field trip to Lowe's Foods. What did you do while you were at the grocery store? What did you learn? What was your favorite part? Please tell us all about the trip!

Dream Big

This week we watched the play "Dream Machine". I know everyone had a great time seeing it! In the play the Wright brothers followed their dreams and were able to fly the first airplane. Why do you think it is important to follow your dreams?

Questioning

We have been learning that asking questions before, during, and after a story can really help you to understand the book even better. After listening to the first half of this book, type 2 questions that you have about the story on our blog.

Maps

We have been learning about maps this week in Social Studies. This is a map of the country that we live in. Use the map to help you answer the questions on your worksheet. When you are finished make a post telling why you think maps are important.
